Page 2 of 3 I have worked this year on a home based digital studio capable of recording voice and acoustic instruments, as well as digital and sampled sounds. Recording technology has developed a great deal in the past decade or so and I was amazed, when I began to use the latest recording software, the quality of recording and arrangement it is possible to achieve on a computer.
This has encouraged me to really explore how acoustic folk rock music can be combined with digital synthesised and sampled sounds. This has opened up all kinds of new ideas which have helped reshape and even rewrite some of the older songs, and also work new music into them.
