The next CD - starting in January 2006
The next CD will be started in January 2006. I have a shortlist of 15 songs written over the past 30 years which I particularly want to record.

One song which may appear on the next CD is an adaption of The Ballad of Reading Gaol, reduced to 12 verses with a tune I invented while walking the dog in the park when I was 17! The Ballad of Reading Gaol was written after Oscar Wilde (opposite) served a two-year sentence there for "gross indecency" (homosexuality). The poem is a poetic meditation on suffering and a pungent social criticism of capital punishment.
I have started to sing this song again, and this has provided an astonishing 'bridge' back into my past, allowing all kinds of other memories and images to walk over into my present, including many other forgotten songs.
